Going to Work–The New Deal in Minnesota
May 8 @ 10:00 am
Ivanhoe Public Library
Presented by Minnesota author/historian Doug Ohman. The 1930’s Great Depression left many American’s including Minnesotans, out of work with little job prospects. It was during this time the Federal Government created job programs such as the WPA, PWA, CCC, NYA, and the VCC that helped put Minnesotans back to work. Doug will discuss Great Depression work programs and share the location of these projects in our region and statewide. Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Funded.
